Order of Merit Salver

The Lanarkshire Golf Association Order of Merit is measured by taking players Highest Total Number of Points gained in any Five Competitions out of the eight qualifying Competitions. All events excluding the Newlands Trophy are 36 hole competitions, the Newlands being the only 72 hole event, and therefore the Newlands counts as 2 events, i.e. players pick up points for the Saturday and Sunday. Scores are based on players actual scores set against the the CSS.

Points for the Order of Merit Table are awarded as follows:

• Equal the CSS over 36 holes - 15 points
• One above CSS - 14 points
• Two above CSS - 13 points and so on down to 1 point
• One below CSS - 16 points
• Two below CSS - 17 points and so on up
